As I sit in the first class lounge at the airport drinking free alcohol, I can’t help but think about how much I’ve enjoyed my time in Japan. Ok, I had to mention that just because :) This past weekend I ended up not doing too much. This was because Friday night Tim and I went out for dinner and drinks to celebrate what we hope will turn out to be a successful product launch. We had a good time just hanging out, drinking, and playing darts. When I finally woke up on Saturday, I didn’t feel like doing much of anything because of the previous night’s activities. I ended up spending most of the day just laying around the room relaxing. I finally made it out of the room in the early evening to head to Roppongi Hills for dinner. I was going to try and catch a movie as well, but there was nothing playing in English that I wanted to see. So I just walked around getting some exercise and checking out some of the shops. It was then time to head back to the hotel and begin packing. Luckily Paul (one of my co-workers) had just shown up in Japan and I had pawned some of my work stuff off on him so I didn’t have to carry that stuff back. It gave me more room to pack a few of the things I had picked up during my travels.
Sunday I was flying out, so I didn’t get a chance to go anywhere as I wanted to make sure that I made it to the airport on time. I woulda been in big trouble if I missed my flight! So now I sit in the first class lounge waiting for my plane to board. I must say that I get spoiled traveling for work because we fly business class (well I got bumped to first on this trip) and it is extremely nice. It is going to be a long flight though and unfortunately it is not a direct one. I’ll live though as I am looking forward to making it home. I do have a few more blog posts that I want to write about my time in Japan a bit more, so be on the look out for those.
