The day began with us getting up and washing up a bit before beginning our trek. We journeyed back into San Francisco and headed straight to Fisherman’s Wharf for some food. We then headed out to do the 49-mile scenic drive around the city. It was pretty impressive and we got to see quite a few different areas and witness how diverse the city is. After this three hour trip, we again stopped at Fisherman’s Wharf for another meal. Once we were fed, it was then time to begin the trip down the PCH. The sites were amazing. It is difficult to explain how everything looked and the pictures don’t do the drive justice. We made it down to Santa Cruz before sunset and got to see the area there. We decided to stop for the night halfway between Santa Cruz and Montery. We found a little seafood restaurant right off the beach where again we had some fantastic food. It was then time to find a place to park and get some sleep for the night. We ran into many problems because we again planned on sleeping in the back of the Pacifica, but none of the state park campgrounds had sites where you could just drive in and park. We tried finding a place on the beach where we could park, but there were always signs that said overnight parking was not permitted. Finally we found a road that was headed to a park but had residences on it. In the middle of the night, some cops stopped and shined their lights in, but left us alone without a word.
