It turns out that this past week was my final full week in China. I will be heading back to the States this Thursday. Anyway, more about that in a bit. It was a bit of a crazy week this past week. First I had some family issues that were on my mind all week and then I was running around at work trying to make sure everything would be wrapped up so that I could head home this coming week. Friday night I headed out to some bars with the manager that I’ve been working with here. He showed me a couple of different bars that I enjoyed. They were pretty much like bars in the US. Saturday I woke up and wasn’t feeling too well. I really do need to be more careful of what I eat here. I spent most of the day lounging around before heading out to see a movie. I went to see King Kong at one of the local theaters. Luckily they show some movies in English. I ended up seeing a VIP showing of the movie, which meant that they provided candies and drinks as well as sitting in nice leather reclining seats. It was a great way to watch a three hour movie. Sunday I heading to one of the shopping districts in Beijing where I walked around for awhile. After grabbing dinner it was back to the hotel to relax before starting my final days in the Beijing office. While I’ve enjoyed my time in Beijing and throughout China, I will be glad to be heading back to the States. I miss being able to talk and hang out with my friends whenever I like. I will definitely miss the food here though. I have had some really good food that is nothing like Chinese in the States. Hopefully I have a good flight home and I look forward to seeing everyone again.
